“caddie cornered”

you’re the glowing pale green star on my caddie cornered shelf… and in the dark you shine so bright… an image i take to bed with me every night… i fall into you even when you’re not there… and with each inhale i smell you in the air… your smile – a wicked drug i can’t shake… i breathe you in until i break… your presence radiates like the summer sun… i had a dream i was your heroine, your only one… you’re the goose bumps on my arms, the lump in my throat… inside you i’m whole, outside you i’m broke… a horse’s broken leg with no strength to run… i can’t hide from the truth, i see your face in everyone… and for you i’d create and perfect a thousand tunes… but while you are a falling star i am the rising moon…..
